Trips to the Pinta (6/26) and the Stolt (6/27)

On the weekend of June 26 and 27 the John Jack hosted dive trips for Blue Water Divers and the NY Sea Gypsies. What a weekend it was. Lake Atlantic showed it's finer side to the divers on Saturday with flat seas and good visibility as the divers explored the wreck of the Pinta. With several new NE wreck divers aboard, the smiles were big and wide as they returned to the boat. These new divers are now convinced that wreck diving on the Jersey coast is great. A great meal and warm, friendly conversation was abound as the Big Red Boat made it's way back to the dock. On Sunday, the boat was again alive with divers. The Sea Gypsies were on the boat in force to explore the Stolt. Many arrived Saturday evening to enjoy a evening on the boat and sleep in one of it's many bunks. With hot coffee ready with a simple continental breakfast, we were off to the wreck of the Stolt. With fog laying a misty cover on the water for most of the day, the crew was careful in explaining the importance of returning to the boat on the anchor line. There was, again, no shortage of smiles as the divers climbed back aboard. With an almost even split of men and woman divers in the group, it was nice to receive so many compliments and thanks for a wonderful day. The generous accommodations on the boat gave everyone a chance to enjoy another great meal planned and prepared by our chef Tony Petrak. Chicken cutlet parm. heroes were quickly devoured by the hungry divers and thanks were given by all for a great day on the water. I look forward to the next trip with the Sea Gypsies. This was, without a doubt, a great weekend to be the Captain of the John Jack
