The John Jack is one of the fastest and newest dive boat serving the New York and New Jersey dive community. The John Jack is powered by two electronically controlled Caterpillar 3406 - E engines rated at 800 horsepower apiece. Fully loaded, the John Jack can exceed 25 knots. With a range of 350 miles between fuel stops, the John Jack makes long trips a breeze. The boat is equipped with an electrical inverter that provides full time 110V AC power for the fridge, microwave, ice maker, and outlets.  A 20 KW Northern Lights generator provides backup for the inverter and powers the air conditioning and compressors. The entire boat is illuminated with 500 watt quartz halogen lights, which are used for night dives and loading the night before for a trip.  Backup lighting is provided by a 12volt system.
