The John Jack is the fastest & newest, dive boat in the New York, New Jersey area. The John Jack is powered by two brand new, state of the art electronically controlled Caterpillar 3406 - E engines putting out 800 HP. each. The boat can exceed 25 Knts, fully loaded. The boat can run over 350 Mi. between fuel stops, making long trips a breeze. The boat has an inverter to provide 110V power at all times. This allows the fridge, microwave, ice maker, and outlets to run all the time, without the generator running,. Ah, the sound of silence. The John Jack is equipped with a 20 KW northern lights generator. This unit, powers the Air conditioning, and compressors, as well, as provide 110V and lighting. The entire boat is lit up with 500 Watt quartz halogen lights. This is great for loading the night before for a trip, or night dives. There are also 12V lights for back up.

OVERNIGHT TRIPS
The John Jack is specially outfitted with a compressor, oversized head, and hot showers The John Jack sleeps ten- twelve customers, plus crew for overnight trips. Each bunk features it’s own fan, reading light, and 110V outlet. No more having some one unplug your dive light charger, to plug in his laptop. Overnight trips allow multiple dives (both day & night) to be made at the same location. This helps the divers to really learn a wreck well, or spend time working on a project.

SERVICES
The John Jack has tanks for rent, stage bottles, singles, and doubles. You can rent either Aluminum 30's, 40's, 63's, 80's, Genesis 100's, or 120's. The tanks will be full, brought to the boat, and set up for you on deck. We can fill the tanks with air, Nitrox or Trimix as you request. You must show proof of certification for the gas you are using. The single tanks can be rented with a B.C. & regulator with gauges. The doubles come with a wing type B.C. and a back pack. There is a twin regulator with gauges set up that can be rented also.

The John Jack can provide in water oxygen, via regulators hung at 20 Ft. You can purchase this service on a by person basis $10.00 , or as a group $60.00, if you charter the boat. Please let the Captain know if you want oxygen when you make your reservation, or at least a week in advance.

Guided tours of the wrecks are available. Please let the Captain know ahead of time, so he can make the arrangements.

INSTRUCTION
The John Jack does not provide diving lessons, or advanced certifications. We can help “hook” you up with a local instructor, if you so request. Any and all financial arrangements, must be made with them directly. The John Jack does specialize in working with instructors, and dive shops to help make your learning experience a fun, and safe one.

FILLS
While the John Jack does have a compressor, the boat is not in the business of providing fills on day trips. If you have a problem or a special need, we will try our best to oblige you. If you will need fills on a day trip, you MUST make prior arrangements with the Captain. The boat is not responsible for dives missed because of compressor failures on any trip.

PRE-BOARDING
As an accommodation to customers, you may board the John Jack the night before your trip. Please be aware this is a COURTESY, not a right. While everyone will have a bunk for overnight trips, I can not guarantee a bunk the night before. In the morning, ½ Hr. before departure (regular loading time) the bunks go to the customers. Nor can I guarantee a bunk for day trips. The night before a day trip, there might be more people on board than bunks. On some trips, the crew may be sleeping on board the night before, not leaving enough bunks for customers the night before.. When choosing a bunk, please make sure it is not “taken:” already, no, the sleeping bag & pillow were not left for you. That bunk is taken, grab another. NO, it is NOT, permissible to move some ones bedding to another bunk, so you may have that one. Please be quiet & courteous when you board at night, others are sleeping. Do not load your gear after 10 PM, others are sleeping, marina rules, load in the morning.
